Oh my, I do have to apologise as I have neglected this challenge and I'm very sorry. I think I got distracted by other activities and the 'procrastination monkey' on my back, kept saying 'do it tomorrow'.

I think it's wise to make this challenge a monthly one so it's easier to manage.

Theme this month is 'Stripes or/and Haunted House' as usual just add your creations through the inlinkz button. Thanks for being so patient and I'm looking forward to see your creation and Happy Halloween only 30 day until the fun event ! YAY !

Owlenstein Halloween Card - Challenge #7 Theme Humour and/or Purple

1 comments - POST YOUR COMMENT

I have to admit to have been a bit preoccupied with the recent riots in London and couldn't find a moment to calm down a bit and make a card. I was giving up hope in carrying my commitment but Vince came to the rescue as he was doing a card for Amanda Marks blog for the Design Team of AJ's Digishoppe and she has these very funny Halloween Owls in her A.J. 's digishoppe.

So I used his card for challenge #7 which is all about using something with humour and/or purple. Have fun !

Spooky House Halloween Card - Challenge #5 Tearing and distressing !

4 comments - POST YOUR COMMENT

I found this old stamp from A Muse Artstamps 'Haunted Mansion' and coloured it in with derwent inktense. Not my best colouring but I wanted something rough to go with the distressed frame done by tearing, roughing up the edges with my SU tool. The card is tiny only 3"3/4 square so you can imagine to colour that 2 square inch stamped image ! :)

Challenge #5 Theme is Tearing and/or distressing ! Have fun with it !

Wow this card was a 10 minutes job, I was a bit perplexed on what to do for this fortnight challenge, went back to my trusted WRMK pad and thought I'd use that paper with writing on it as I like it so much. Three tags jumped at me from the pack so I thought why not ! :)

The theme is use 'tags and/or a tall cardbase'. Have fun with it and as usual just add your creations using the Inlinkz button (blue frog).

3D Halloween Card - Our First Challenge with a Halloween Stamp Set Giveaway-Blog Candy

1 comments - POST YOUR COMMENT

Here we are with our First Halloween Card Challenge ! Hurray !

This card takes me nearly 4 years ago actually. I started crafting and was doing a few card swaps and made three of these 'beauties'. The card looked quite ordinary at the front until the recipient opened up the card to see the 3D pop-up within it ! I remember to have spent the good part of a weekend to complete them.

The lovely Stephanie Barnard from 'The Stamps of Life' is kindly donating one (1) Halloween Stamp Set 'Spooky2Scare', how sweet is that ? So a big thank you to Stephanie for her generosity. If you have checked her stamps yet .....are you mad ? They're gorgeous and I urge you to check her stamp club as the value is unbelievable (I've joined straight away). To participate in the giveaway/blog candy just click on the tab on top and follow the instructions.

The Theme for the challenge is Black Cats and/or 3D element (up to you really). You have 2 weeks to post your creations using the blue frog (inlinkz). The Halloween Challenge will be twice a month 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

Don't forget to link back to this website in your post before submitting your creation and to use a permalink when submitting.

Frankenstein Halloween Card - Yes, It Had to Happen ! :)

2 comments - POST YOUR COMMENT

Yes, it had to happen eventually that I created a Halloween only blog... I've been toying with the idea for a while and since I really making Halloween cards I took the plunge and here I am with yet another blog ! ;)

How I made this card

I've used a really colourful pad by We R Memory Keepers I purchased last year on QVC. I also used by the same paper craft company their Sew Easy kit which is totally brilliant. You can do all sort of hand stitch look and I really like the textured feel of hand stitching on handmade greeting cards. The stamped Frankenstein image is from The Angel Company.

Reminiscing going Trick or Treating with my sis

I still remember going trick or treating when I was a little kid and I have to admit I miss seeing this tradition around here in London, UK. Although it has become more popular it has been now nearly 3 year since I saw anyone doing the sweets/candy gathering rounds around our streets. I don't blame the parents as in our busy capital you can't be too careful yet I feel the kids are missing out on some fun.

We, my sister and I, used to come home all excited and spread our 'stash' on our bedrooms floor to see what we got and it was serious sorting time as well as swapping the sweets we didn't like.

I also remember that Autumn/Fall wasn't really there until I saw the Peanuts special on television. Because we lived in Québec we could only see the latest show on television in English yet we used to watch it anyway trying to figure out what was being said. We had to be patient as the very same show would have been translated in French either a few week later (missing the point as it was nearly winter then) or even worse the year later.

Halloween Challenge coming soon

Now I've also decided to start a monthly Halloween challenge to get us started for next October, it will start on May the 30th so watch this space and come by then so you can join in the fun.

Spoooooooky ! :)
